Grid protection

Distribution grid protection

The main task of grid protection is to control the basic parameters of electrical networks, especially voltage and frequency. These quantities are continuously monitored and when the set limits of the device are exceeded, the connected technology is automatically disconnected. Measurement can be carried out in phases or in groups according to the selected device variants.

Two relay outputs with NO and NC contacts are available for controlling the disconnecting elements. The device can be powered by 230 V AC / 50 Hz or 24 V DC.

The currently measured values are displayed on the LCD display, which, in addition to voltage and frequency, also displays the status of the device and individual relays. Four buttons can be used to switch between screens with measured values, protection function settings and the history of the last ten events. The device status is also signaled by a pair of LED indicators.

The device supports communication via the Modbus TCP protocol. The default limit value settings correspond to the currently valid Distribution System Operation Rules (PPDS). If necessary, the parameters can be easily adjusted using the control interface on the display or remotely via the Modbus TCP protocol.

The design is designed for mounting on a standard DIN rail. The device was completely developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic.
